He has owned a general store in the same district where he lives and his shop is called Qasemi general store. He is married with 5 children. His oldest son is a college student and the others are school students. He is mainly running a family of nine members including his old aged father and mother. Although Sayed Qasem’s business has been steady, the demands of market and his family have expanded; on the other hand, he has to pay for the rental house where he and his family members live. Finally, he realized that managing the big family and determining to give his children advanced education is really difficult for him, so he came to a point how to expand his business in order to increase his income. After a few days he was informed by the brochures that AFS has a mission to support the entrepreneurs progress through lending, so he came and applied for his first individual cycle loan of 50000 Afghani on April 2009 with the loan term of 12 months. He is really glad that after the loan he could increase his capital and could hire a new employee to support him in his shop.Currently, his monthly net income has highly progressed and he is able to send her children in better private schools and to improve his family’s living condition as well. In the future, he plans to apply for the second cycle loan to be a successful business man and to further enlarge his business.
